Australia’s MTB Wonderland

Tasmania – Australia's MTB Wonderland from Jasper on Vimeo.

Tasmania is fast becoming known as Australia’s mountain bike wonderland and it’s easy to see why from this video released on Pinkbike by Discover Tasmania.

We’re so fortunate to call the mountain bike capital of Australia, Tasmania, our home. We are very quickly becoming spoilt for choice when it comes to professionally built mountain bike singletrack.

This mountain bike video is the latest work from the talented
J. da Seymour Photography. MTB Sport is very proud to see our friends feature heavily in this video. Local downhill mountain biker Andrew Butler has been riding for MTB Sport for over a year now and it’s great to see him on camera doing what he loves.

It’s great to see our mountain bike jerseys, shorts, gloves and protection appearing more and more in professionally released content and peoples MTB social media posts. Our mountain bike apparel is of the highest quality and perfect for the Australian mountain bike riding conditions.

The mountain bike trails of Blue Derby certainly have put Tasmania on the MTB map but with the opening of Maydena Bike Park just two weeks away Tasmania’s mountain bike status will be firmly set in concrete.

2017 at MTB Sport

Well, the years nearly over and what a year it’s been for the first year in the mountain bike industry for MTB Sport.

Having the Enduro World Series come to Derby in our home state of Tasmania had to be one of the highlights. With further developments being made to the Blue Derby Trail network and with the upcoming opening of Maydena Bike Park in the south of Tasmania we look forward to seeing a lot more major mountain bike events in Tasmania.

Of course, it’s not only Tasmania that’s seeing hundreds of kilometres of mountain bike trail development, the entire country is seeing more and more mountain bike trail construction. Australia certainly is embracing the sport of mountain biking.

It’s been extremely rewarding the positive feedback we have received from our customers. Our quality mountain apparel and protection from Rocday and Amplifi have been very well received. We can’t wait to add new products to our range in 2018.

2017 has also seen us welcome Sprung, Vertigo MTB, Cyclingo and Ride Union as retail stockists of Rocday and Amplifi. We look forward to having our products being available in more mountain bike shops throughout 2018.

We hope you’ve all had a great year on and off the bike, we’re looking forward to another year of riding new and old trails with good friends.

CYCLINGO NOW STOCKING ROCDAY

Announcing Cyclingo in Hobart as the latest mountain bike store to stock Rocday mountain bike apparel. Cyclingo is located at the base of Mount Wellington in South Hobart, prime position for access to some of Hobart’s best MTB trails.

As well as apparel and mountain bike sales and service, Cyclingo also offers a fleet of Santa Cruz hire bikes. So next time you’re shredding trails in Hobart or passing through to Maydena Bike Park be sure to drop in and check out the range at Cyclingo.

RIDE UNION BIKE CO.

We’re stoked to have Ride Union Bike Co. in Adelaide stocking mountain bike apparel from MTB Sport. Ride Union is our first South Australian store and came highly recommended.

So all you Adelaide shredders, get yourselves to Ride Union in Aldgate and check out the MTB Sport range, you may even pick yourself up a pimpin new Yeti or GT mountain bike.

MTB Sport Rider Kegan Rees

MTB Sport is proud to be sponsoring DH shredder, Kegan Rees.
Kegan won the Hobart Wheelers / Dirt Devils Cycling Club under 14 DH series last season and we’re stoked to be supporting him this season.

Kegan has been a loyal customer of MTB Sport since we launched and has shown a love for our products so it only seemed natural to show our support to Kegan.

Over the last DH series, we noticed Kegans riding style and pace rapidly improving and can’t wait to see how he develops over the next year.

New Rocday Threads

The latest range of Rocday threads have arrived in Australia. With rad new designs and the introduction of Swiss SANITIZED fabric riders look and feel fresh on the trails.

SPRUNG GET AMPLIFI & ROCDAY

MTB Sport is proud to announce Sprung mountain bike as the first Australian mountain bike shop to stock our range of mountain bike apparel, protection, and packs from Rocday and Amplifi.

Sprung is well known in Tasmania for their selection of premium Rocky Mountain and Santa Cruz mountain bikes. We’re more than happy to have our products now available at Sprung.
